Student Success Statement
“Associate yourself with men of good quality if you esteem your own reputation, for ‘tis better to be alone than in bad company.”
-George Washington

It takes a lot to build a good reputation.  It has been scientifically proven that the 5 people you spend most of your time with are the people who reflect you and your life.  There is another quote that reminds me of this quote by George Washington: “Show me your friends and I’ll show you who you are.”  I know that we are individuals and that we all have our own personality, but the people you choose to be your friends are a reflection on who you are.  Friends are people that you admire, people that you think are great, people that make you happy.  If you want to live a happy and positive life, you have to choose friends that believe in you and that will motivate you to be the best version of yourself.  For example, if you are friends with people who have good grades, that means that you are striving for or even have good grades yourself.  Good people associate with good people, and bad people associate with bad people.  Your friends are what mold you and help you become who you are, they are your support system.  You can't grow nourished flowers with unnourished seeds.
