Presidents Day
Presidents Day is a federal holiday in the United States of America.  This holiday celebrates past presidents of the U.S.A.  This holiday is in honor of George Washington, the U.S.A.’s first president.

Presidents Day is on the third Monday of February every year.  George Washington’s birthday is on the 22nd of February, which is why Presidents Day is in February.  

Ways to show respect and honor on Presidents Day:
  • Go to the parades that occur on this day
  • Throw a party in honor of past presidents
  • Bring awareness to presidents day on social media by giving thanks
  • Pray for the world, for the world to have even more great presidents
  • Write a letter to the president
  • Re-create Mount Rushmore/ arts and crafts that involve presidents day

Presidents Day is a holiday that is observed all over the U.S., mostly celebrating Abraham Lincoln and George Washington.  These presidents both have birthdays that are in February.
