Naturopathic Doctor

Duties and Responsibilities:  A Naturopathic Doctor is a healthcare provides who treats patients using the healing power of nature.  A N.D. is responsible for the well-being of their patients.  Some of the responsibilities of a N.D. are to examine patients, diagnose patients, keep track of patient records, and design treatment plans for their patients.

Salary:  On average, a Naturopathic Doctor makes about 74,710$ a year.

Education:  To become a N.D. you need a 4 years bachelor’s degree and in some states you might also need a master’s degree.  Common courses future N.D.’s take are histology, philosophy, and nutrition.  

Demand for this profession:  The employment rate for this profession is expected to grow by 12% in the years 2014-2024.
