If you have to stand alone to fight for something you believe in, do it.  You are not always going to have someone by your side to stand with you.  There is a quote that is similar to this one, it is “Stand up for what you believe in, even if you have to stand alone”.  For example, if you see that someone is being bullied, and no one else is stepping up or saying something, you have to be the one to do it.  You have to have courage and be brave in order to do what is right.  If you stand alone, at least you know that you are doing the right thing.  You cannot keep relying on the fact that you have friends, because sometimes your friends will not agree with you.  This quote is just saying that you have to stand up for what is right, no matter what.  Even if you stand alone, you still have to stand up for what is right.
