Social Worker
Duties and Responsibilities: Social workers help people cope with daily problems.  Their job is to assist their patients with problems that involve either them or the community.  This includes meeting with patients regularly.  One main focus of a social worker is to provide psychotherapy services.  Not just that, but social workers also help with an immense amount of different situations, such as divorce or child abuse.

Salary: A social worker makes about 45,900$ per year.

Education: A bachelors degree is required in order to become a social worker.  Some entry-level jobs only require a bachelor's degree, while others require a master's degree.  Also, some jobs may hire social workers who have bachelor's degree in psychology or sociology.

Demand for this career: The number of jobs for a social worker in the years 2014-2024  is 649,300.  The employment rate for social workers is expected to grow by 12% during the years 2014-2024.

Do you think you would like to be one?  Why?  Why not?:
Now that I am learning more about what social workers do and who they provide for, I would love to be one.  I have always loved helping people, and becoming a social worker would allow me to magnify that about myself and put all of my energy into helping those in need.
