Student Success Statement
"They're only truly great who are truly good."
George Chapman

Image result for they're only truly great who are truly goodI think that the words "great" and "good" mean two very different things.  Being great means that you have accomplished big things, that people look up to you, that you are an amazing student, athlete, player, parent, daughter, son, friend etc.  To be good means to be kind, to be a gentle spirit, to spread positivity and happiness.  Although these two words have different meanings, they still relate to each other very much.  In order for you to be seen as great, you must first be seen as good.  You have to be a kind person so that you can grow in all other aspects of life.  Start by being a good person so that you can become a great student or athlete or parent or daughter/son or whatever it is you want to be great at.  Being good will get you much farther in life than being great.  This quote is saying exactly that: being good is better than being great.  The people who are kind spirits are the true great ones.  Not the person who has the most money or the most fancy car and fancy house, the person who possess the qualities of humility, good and kind spirit and heart, and the ability to spread positive to those around you.
