Health Educator

Duties and Responsibilities: The job of health educator is to promote, improve, and maintain the health of a community.  They help a certain community or person adopt healthy habits.  They can assist a person individually and help them better understand what should be done to be healthy.   A health administrator is expected to know what is healthy and what is not.

Salary:  Health educators earn, on average, $41,830 a year.

Education:  The minimal level of education a health educator is required to receive is a bachelor's degree.  They must receive this degree in health/ public health education or health promotion.  

Demand for this profession: The amount of jobs for a health educator in the years 2014-2024 is 57,570.  This is expected to grow 13% by the year 2024.
