Student Success Statement
"The best way to predict your future is to create it."
Charles Ketterer

Image result for future quotes worry
This quote reminds me of another quote that says "You need not worry about your future."  Many people worry about what will happen tomorrow, or the next day.  If you know where you want to go in life, and you work at it every single day, your future will turn out the way you want it to.  There is always going to be bumps in the road- like someone in your family passing away or having to move to a different city, but it is up to us to make the most of our life.  We decide whether we want to live on our knees or whether we want to stand tall.  There is no use in worrying about the future or trying to figure out what will happen- make it happen.  Live happily and gracefully and always give your all into everything you do.  The future is something that will happen in a second, so why worry about it?  Why not instead create your future?  If you want to lose weight, don’t sit around and say "I don’t know if I can" or "What if its hard?"- NO.  To achieve the future imprinted in our heads we have to fight for it everyday of our lives.  Fight for the future you want and work everyday to create it and build it.

Student Success Statement
"Ask yourself is it right or wrong and act accordingly."
Otto Graham, Jr.
Everyone has a conscious.  All of us have that little voice in our head that lets us know if something is wrong or if something is right. It is up to us and to choose the right instead of choosing the wrong.  For example, if you know that cheating on a test is the wrong thing to do then why do it in the first place?  No matter what, you can't change something that is wrong into something that is good.  You always have to reassure yourself that you are doing what is right.  There is no excuses for doing the wrong thing, primarily because we all know the difference between right and wrong.  I think that this quote is telling us that if we choose the wrong, we are to be held accountable for those decisions.  You have the ability to ask yourself or ask others, "Is this the right thing to do?".  If the answer is no, then do not do it.  It is plain and simple, do what you feel is right and what you know is not wrong.

"Act well your part; there all honor lies."
Alexander Pope
Image result for quotes about being honorableIn order to build a good reputation, you have to do good things.  You have to behave honorably and you have to be kind.  Do not cheat, do not steal, and do not lie.  When you choose the wrong, you are hurting yourself the most.  In life, whether you believe it or not, life will either punish your or reward you.  This fact has nothing to do with God, but it has a lot to do with you are and how you treat others.  The universe will not let you live happily when you do not do the right things.  This is you have to "act well".  You have to set an example for others to follow that example.  You have to be a leader by showing others that doing the right thing is always the best choice.  When you live this way, people will view you as honorable.  If you live this way, you will see yourself as honorable.
